Debate Mate Training emerged in 2015 to fill a crucial gap in professional development.

Our award-winning charity arm, Debate Mate Schools, runs after-school debating clubs in areas of high-educational disadvantage. After seeing the students in our schools programme debate, corporate sponsors kept asking the same question: “How do we get our teams to communicate like that?”

This social purpose remains at the heart of what we do.

Revenue from Debate Mate Training is reinvested into Debate Mate Schools, helping young people across under-resourced communities develop an essential skillset to prepare them for the world of work. Each one of team members began their journey in our charitable arm – either as a student, a teacher, or a university mentor.
